In Person Swim Lessons
Big Kahuna Swim Academy provides private, one-on-one, swim lessons for students of all ages, from infants to adults.
We are currently doing lessons out of our Norco and Riverside pool.
Our #1 priority is water safety and drowning prevention; making sure that each and every one of our students is learned and mastered what are called the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills which will enable them to save themselves in any water emergency.
Once a student has mastered these skills and passed their safety tests, we move on to helping them become a more confident and stronger swimmer and will eventually start working on stroke technique (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly).
How It Works – Signing Up For Lessons
What Type Of Lesson & How Many Each Week?
Decide which type of lesson you would like to have. We offer lessons at our pools in Norco and Riverside. Then decide how many days a week you want your child to do swim lessons. The more they are in the water practicing the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills the faster they will learn and become safe in the water. We suggest your child do 2 lessons a week to start; this will help give them a jump start on learning these vital, life-saving skills.
Pick A Day & Time For Lessons
Next, you will pick a day and time (or days and times) that we have available to have lessons each week. Remember, this day and time will be the same every week.
Pay For The Month In Advance
Your final step is to pay for the lessons that you will receive in that month. If you are coming to us it’s a flat monthly rate of $210/month for 1 lesson a week per student. Our rates are based on 3 lessons/month. You will most likely get 4 or 5 lessons in a month unless there is a holiday. If you do get 4 or 5 lessons in a month, you will not be charged extra for those lessons since it is a flat monthly rate. We also offer drop in lessons at $70/lesson.
We also have a one time Sign Up Fee of $50 per family. Once paid, the only reason you would have to pay it again is if you were to stop doing lessons and come back, otherwise it’s just the one time.
