In Person Swim Lessons
Big Kahuna Swim Academy provides private, one-on-one, swim lessons for students of all ages, from infants to adults.
We are currently doing lessons out of our Norco and Riverside pool.
Our #1 priority is water safety and drowning prevention; making sure that each and every one of our students is learned and mastered what are called the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills which will enable them to save themselves in any water emergency.
Once a student has mastered these skills and passed their safety tests, we move on to helping them become a more confident and stronger swimmer and will eventually start working on stroke technique (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly).
How It Works – Signing Up For Lessons

What Location & How Many Each Week?
Decide which location you want to do lessons at: Norco or Riverside.
Then decide how many lessons per week you want your child to do swim lessons.
The more they are in the water practicing the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills, the faster they will learn and become safe in and around the water and pass their Safety Test!
We suggest your child do 2 lessons a week to start; this will help give them a jump start on learning these vital, life-saving skills.

Pick A Day & Time For Lessons
Next, you will pick a day and time (or days and times) that we have available to have lessons each week. Remember, this day and time will be the same every week.

Pay For The Month In Advance
Your final step is to pay for the lessons that you will receive in that month. Rates differ depending on if your student is participating in Private or Group lessons. Our flat monthly rates are based on getting 3 lessons/month. You will most likely get 4 or 5 lessons in a month unless there is a holiday. If you do get 4 or 5 lessons in a month, you still get the flat monthly rate AND get the 4th and 5th lesson for FREE.
We also offer drop-in lessons.
We also have an Annual Registration Fee of $60 per family. Annual Registration Fees are paid upon signing up and in January of every year. If you sign up in March, you wouldn’t pay the Annual Registration Fee again until January of the following year.
